- The map is taken from an atlas in the British Library in London. The atlas shows navigations charts in the VOC's patent region and was brought to London when the British Library purchased the library of the Haarlem collector Van der Willigen in 1875. The atlas is comprised of 49 hand-drawn charts and views, all in colour and in the style of Johannes Vingboons.
